Bobby Clark (May 30, 1935 - May 22, 2014)
Bobby Clark was the original tenor singer for the Cathedral Trio, later the Cathedral Quartet.
Clark began his career in the 1950s, performing with the Deep South Quartet, the Oak Ridge Quartet, the Rangers Quartet and the Weatherfords. In 1963 he joined with Glen Payne and Danny Koker to found the Cathedral Trio for Rex Humbard's Cathedral Of Tomorrow.
Clark left the Cathedrals in 1968 but returned briefly in 1972. That same year he also sang with the Dixie Echoes.
Clark served as an ordained Baptist minister during the 1970s and 1980s. After he left the ministry he appeared on the Cathedral's Reunion project, singing Hide Thou Me and I Want To Walk Just As Close As I Can with his former group. He then sang with the Men Of Music from 1995 to 1998. After several years away from music, Clark began a solo career in 2006.
Bobby Clark passed away on May 22, 2014.
